curating I'm who? I'm Balance!
First and foremost I want to thank all my fellow "SAPIOSEXUALS" for taking the time out to explore the depths of my inner self and subscribing. I am a Hip Hop artist with a soulful vibe, people often like to compare me to artist such as Common, Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole, especially for my recent work Agenda XXI which has over 1K views on youtube and
"Mileage" which features live band production and is on all streaming platforms. I have been performing all across Houston for the past 3 years, and even had the privilege to open up for Houston legend Paul Wall last year after winning a showcase that featured about 20 of Houston's finest artists.
The two songs that I performed to win were "Missing & Agenda XXI" from my very first EP D.S.2.U and is under the music tab if you want to check it out.
One of the main reasons I was able to win that showcase is because of my ability to stand out from the rest of the competition, which I tend to do by bringing a full live band, specifically "The Aux Band" who you can follow on IG @TheAuxBand. I also know how to navigate the energy in the building, whether it's 20 people or 200 people I know how to find a way to connect to everybody and make them feel my story.
I have recently released my first all live band project "Sapiosexual" and now I am also curating my own event called "Stoneys Island" inside of Houston's best dispensary "Stoney's House", which I describe as an intimate haven where acoustic melodies and psychedelic vibes entwine. My own version of "Tiny Desk" if you will, where one special artist get an entire show curated for them, with gourmet food, drinks, and Pre rolls for my cannabis enthusiasts provided with ticket purchase. So far, all 4 episodes have been sold out with over 50plus attendees at each show and it's only going to get bigger and better from here.
